Nominated in the "Lyrical artist revelation" category of the Victoires de la Musique 2017 and "HSBC 2017 Laureate of the Festival d'Aix" Catherine Trottmann was soon noticed for the richness of her timbre and her scenic investment. Graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in 2014, she was quickly offered some of the most emblematic roles in the repertoire.

Her career already led her to sing the roles of Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées and the Edinburgh Festival, Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Opéra national du Rhin, Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette) at the Opéra de Nice, Siebel (Faust) at the Opéra de Saint-Etienne, Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at the Opéra de Lausanne, Diane (Iphigénie en Tauride) at the Théâtre des Champs Élysée, Flora (La Traviata) and Tisbé (La Cenerentola) at the prestigious Wiener Staatsoper, Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) at the Metz Opera, Zaïda (Il Turco in Italia) at the Opéra de Dijon, the title role of Tistou les Pouces verts by Sauguet at the Opéra de Rouen, or Dersagrena in Gade's Comala.
She also created the character of La Rose (Michaël Levinas' Le Petit Prince) at the Opéra de Lausanne, Lille, Geneva and the Théâtre du Châtelet.

In concert, she sings Debussy's La Demoiselle Elue with the Orchestre National d'Ile de France at the Philharmonie de Paris and Ravel's L'Enfant et les sortilègesat the Salle Pleyel; alongside the Cercle de l'harmonie, Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Konzerthaus Dortmund and Don Giovanni at Musikfest Bremen; Berlioz's Les Nuits d'été with the Orchestre régional de Normandie, Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream with the Orchestre national de Lyon et de Lorraine, the Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noël in Moscow with the New Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, Honegger's Le Roi David at the Salle Pleyel and Notre-Dame in Paris, Beethoven's Mass in C at the Avignon Opera, or the French premiere of Leonid Desyatnikov's Illusions perdues with the Bolshoi Theatre ballet at Palais Garnier.

She performs regularly in recitals, notably at the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence, but also at the Berlin Philharmonic with the Berliner Symphoniker and at Carnegie Hall (New York).

During the 2019/2020 season, she will be heard in La Traviata (Flora) at the Paris Opera, Offenbach's Le Roi Carotte (Cunégonde) at the Opéra national de Lyon, the title role of L'Enfant et les sortilèges at the Opéra de Limoges, Rossini's Le Comte Ory (Isolier) at the Opéra de Metz, L'incoronazione di Poppea (Virtu, Damigella, Pallade) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées or Ravel's Schéhérazade with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France (conductor Mikko Franck).
